Gary and I got up early this morning and went for a walk in the park up the street. I like being up early and watching the world slowly wake up.
What an incredible hockey game last night (Lightning vs. Bruins)! It was fast-paced, energetic, and my team won, so even if all they did was stand around and play Hot Potato with the puck, I would have been rather pleased with the game. Vinny Lecavalier got whacked in the face with a wayward puck, but like a true no-blood, no-foul hockey warrior, he was back on the ice in no time with a painfully swollen face, scoring his 250th career goal, no less.
What on earth happened with the Sabres and Hurricanes: 8-1? I didn’t see any of that game, but the score certainly caught my eye. Did the Hurricanes’ goalie call in sick?
