My Favorite Weekends

A world record was set this past weekend: the fastest weekend ever!  I felt like I had just come home from work on Friday evening, and then the alarm was rudely blasting bright and crazy early this Monday morning.

My favorite weekends are not packed with traveling, partying, or getting out of town.  My favorite weekends are the mornings Gary and I wake up, snuggle up, ask “What do you want to do today?” and just wing it all day.

My favorite weekends are the ones that leave me sitting at work on Monday, like today, missing Gary and wishing we were still laughing at one of our silly jokes, picking on each other, and just enjoying being together.

I love weekends like that too. Although mine are spent hanging with my kids and not a special someone. 😉

Glad you had a great weekend!

  2. Our weekends with the kids are always treasured as well, but they are also difficult because of the tears when it is time to take them back to their egg donor. Seeing children cry about going back to their “mother” tends to darken the weekend a bit, and also leave me worrying about what exactly happens in their other home.

Them crying about not wanting to go back would make me worry too.

It sure sounds like the kids are being abused over there. If not physically – then mentally and emotionally. Of course, I think there is something really worrisome with that situation between Crow and her dad….

Don't be shy! Tell me how great I am. Or not. Share your feelings with the group.
