Ketchup and Ranch Dressing

When I hit the grocery store early this morning, I was a woman on a mission. With the countdown less than 2 weeks until Gary and the kids are home, I’ve been stocking up the cobweb-y, mostly empty kitchen cupboards, figuring they’d probably prefer to chew on something besides cat treats and 9-Lives.

With grocery list in hand, I carefully checked off each item, but two items in particular I knew I could not leave the store without:

Ketchup…and Ranch dressing.

I don’t think the kids eat anything without at least one of these items on top of it, and I shudder to think what would happen if we sat down to a meal and realized we were out of either one. Mission accomplished!

I laughed as soon as I saw the title of your post – exact same in our family! The boys think ketchup is its own food group, and hubby can’t stand going to Olive Garden because they don’t have ranch for his salad! I would have to add one more – Ketchup, Ranch and Sour Cream. Lord help us get through dinner if one of them is missing!

Man, I was at the grocery store today and I walked past the condiment section. I thought to myself “I don’t know if I have ever bought ketchup in my entire adult life.” Obviously I don’t have kids. Ketchup…ick!

We can’t live without both here either. The one that gets me the worst is ranch dressing on PIZZA. Yuck! And all the boys do it. We got thru more ranch dressing that ketchup around here.So glad for you that Gary is coming home soon!
